Church of Agioi Apostoloi, Gaios (Gaios– Paxos)
The church of Agioi Apostoloi, with beautiful frescoes and a library of a big historic interest, at Gaios. According to tradition this church was built on top of the tomb of Agios Gaios , who died here during a journey. Agios Gaios was one of the eighty wisemen who had undertaken the translation of the Bible
Church of Agios Charalambos (Gaios– Paxos) The patron saint of the island. A beautiful church with a bell tower , which was built from 1875 until 1912.
Church of Ypapanti (Lakka– Paxos) Church with two typical domes . Built in 1600 in a beautiful place. According tto the local tradition, a shepherd found there the icon of Virgin Mary Ypapantis and this is how the church started to get built. The bell tower, the heraldic marks and the stone doves which orn the church concern old times. Its templon was destroyed in 1909 by the Corfiot sculptor Kallos .
Church of Analipsi (Gaios – Paxos)
Built in the middle of the central square . Take a look at the unique solar clock on the church.
